💙Who says you can't eat fair food and dress like a princess? 💙

We're going to Bean's 4th birthday party this Sunday (but like... I swear we just celebrated her last birthday?) and the theme is... 👑 PRINCESSES. 👑

No specific princess... just princesses in general. I was thinking Princess Peach... but they're leaning more towards Disney and the likes. Makes sense... even though we assumed she would go Scooby-Doo (she's obsessed). With that being said... princess time.

With this opportunity presenting itself, I had no choice but to consider actually dressing up as a princess. I mean... I'm thirty-four years old, how many legit opportunities are just hanging around out there waiting for me to live out my princess fantasies? I could just dress like that all the time... but then people are going to start asking me if my hubby and I are into some weird shit (#smutreading) and I'm gonna be inappropriate and say yes... it'll be a whole thing. So we don't typically go there.

Dev was completely onboard and started googling costumes because he's an enabler that thinks my quirks and complete lack of social propriety are adorable.

I text Mace to make sure it was ok... and she informed me that she too was dressing like a princess for Bean and was super stoked I was already onboard without her having to ask (Aunt Katie has totally got you). She even suggested Belle... and while Belle was one of my favorites... that's a whole lot of fuckin yellow. She also let me know that Jasmine is Bean's absolute favorite... but I'm not trying to insult peeps... so I'm pretty sure I'm not allowed to dress as Jasmine... or Pocahontas... or Mulan. All the damn good princesses are taken.

I settled on Anna... because that's the only costume available in my size... and just as a side note, I never thought I would have this much trouble finding clothes at the size I am. Clothes that hang and do whatever? Easy. Clothes that legit fit my body type and shape? Nope.

Dev loved it... but also let me know he had actually never seen Frozen. I was very much like- 👀👀.

Cut to about ten minutes later... and we're snuggled in with the pups watching Sven being the best reindeer around... only taking a very small break so Dev could make me funnel cakes (because he's the best). We were about ten minutes away from Hans and three minutes into Kristoff before Dev was all, "she should be with Kristoff... that other guy just got lucky he ran into her first." And when Hans was revealed as a villain? You should have seen the "I TOLD YOU" look that came across his face. Hilarious.

So yeah... we'll be playing princess come Sunday (my costume is supposed to be delivered today) and my husband has officially watched Frozen. All is good with the world.

That stupid song will be stuck in my head for a week now.

Just to start off on a ramble... this weekend was super busy and fun. We got our pups new harnesses and Sparkles a new cone, so they are officially road trip ready!

Dev and I watched Barbie... we expected to think it was a little lame and for children... turns out it is super emotional and made us feel our feelings... seriously I had so many emotions and they just seemed to... I don't know... get it.

I feel the need to tell everyone I learned something hilarious about Dev while watching Barbie.

You know that Aqua song "Barbie Girl"?

You know the one... "life in plastic, it's fantastic, you can brush my hair, undress me everywhere."

Yeah, well, my amazing and hilarious husband has been singing the lyrics to this song as "my boobs are plastic, it's fantastic."

Like, legit thought those were the lyrics. Considering the song came out in like 1997, it means he's been singing it like that for almost thirty years. I was cracking up... and quickly realized while it was hilarious, I don't think any of us really know the legit words. We've all been making shit up for years. I know I have.

Aside from that, here we are, trying our best and taking each day as it comes. Dev wants to move to FL, I'm always on edge and never know which way is up, and our pups are the little piece of sunshine that comes through all the clouds. All in all, weekends are where it's at.

Oh, and Happy St. Patrick's Day.

Everything, everywhere, all at once. I can't stop rambling for nothing.

No, I haven't watched the movie... not because I'm against it, but because we haven't had the opportunity to check it out. We have however been watching a lot of random shit.

Like Knock at the Cabin. And Scream VI.

Before that, Avatar: The Way of Water. (Having just seen the first Avatar movie- for me- the night before).

I digress though, because this isn't all about movies. Even though it could be. No, this is just a little catch up on all the happenings as of late.

We've been painting around the house like crazy. The kitchen, laundry room, hallway... it's all different at this point. I both love it and want to get the rest of it painted but also have to kickstart myself every time to actually get the painting part done. Procrastination party of one? Right here.

On top of that we've basically been playing the waiting game trying to get D into the oral surgeon so we can get his dental problems handled (his appointment is on the 25th of this month). He'll feel so much better once it's all taken care of and I'll feel better knowing he's not in constant pain 25/8. Just one more step to get my love on the health and narrow.

We also came to the conclusion to maybe sell the Juke. It was Dev's idea/decision and we're seriously putting a lot of thought into it. Hopefully, if we do end up selling, it will be a painless process. *fingers crossed*

Hold onto your hats, because a couple of weeks ago we found out Travis and Macey are having a baby. That's right, another little Glissonbug is on the horizon and we're all so damn excited for them. She's been having a rough time with morning sickness and everything, so hopefully, it'll all ease up on her a bit soon. I don't know how shit like this works, but I hope she doesn't have to feel like shit the whole time.

Speaking of Trav and Mace, Dev and I took the Z up to their house on Saturday for a drive and a hangout. We had so much fun on the bike, but I can guarantee long trips are something we have to work up to, because their house is about 1.5 hours each way, and my whole body is feeling it. It was feeling it yesterday and it's definitely feeling it today. I am young no more.

But, it was totally worth it.

And speaking of kids, Gabriel lost his two front teeth. He definitely resembles his hillbilly Aunt Katie a little more for awhile.

Work is work. Crazy and hectic and exhausting, but we're trekking forward and doing what we have to do to make sure shit gets done. Because at the end of the day, isn't that all we can really do?

My Tayderbug is an angel and demanded to go back to regular dog food. I swear, we make that little shit his own batch of fresh chicken every night and he just ain't having it. He wants regular ole pup food. Meanwhile, his brothers are drooling every which way trying to get a little piece of the actual chicken.

Dev has been feeling a bit better and doing so much around the house. I swear, I do dishes, but I don't do anything else really around the house. He basically has all the important stuff done by the time I get home and then our time together can either be spent relaxing or doing projects together. And I love both.

Just a side note, yesterday was the four year anniversary of Dev proposing to me and I was all heart-eyed once I realized it.

So yeah, a little catchup with shit I am most definitely forgetting, but here we are. Doing our best and making the most. And doing it all with a little hope, some happiness, and a fuckton of love.

This opportunity may be too good to pass up.

I feel like I should start off by saying that I am an avid horror fan. Everyone that's ever met me knows this and I make it a point to be surrounded by the creepy more often than not. Call it what you will, but I just call it my thing. I'm not morbid or anything like that (probably?), but you would not believe some of the shit I actually believe in.

Demons, ghosts, witchcraft, exorcisms... the list goes on. But, stops shortly before unicorns, because apparently that's where my ridiculous mind draws the line? Yes, I believe people can practice and cast with voodoo, but not in a horse with a horn growing out of his head that shits glitter and rainbows.

I know, I know.

It's a little bit ridiculous, but honestly, I gave up trying to understand my mind long ago and instead decided to embrace it to its fullest extent. Eccentricism, outlandishness, quirks and all. I just let it do its own thing.

While my husband adores the fact that I'm a tad insane (life would be boring without it, right?), he absolutely does not like horror. As in, can't stand it and absolutely hates watching anything associated with it. I didn't know this about him until after we were married, because he's always watched things like that with me in the past.

He informed me it was because he was trying to get and/or keep me, and that he enjoyed watching me enjoy it so much. But, now that we're married, he is far more vocal about his distaste for such things. Not that that stops me from watching or him from joining me, but he also doesn't let me forget how much he hates it the entire time.

And I do mean the ENTIRE time.

While I try not to make him watch too much crazy with me I would be lying if I said sometimes I am just in one of my moods and need a little horror movie in my life so I pop it on in any event. He grumbles his displeasure, but eventually gets sucked in and is just as invested as me.

Honestly, I don't think he detests horror as much as he claims too. Except possessed children. You know, like the Exorcist? Yeah, he definitely hates those as much as he insists he does. But, the rest? Not so much, Like, he'll watch Halloween with me and American Horror Story (although not nearly as invested in it as I am), but if you put a kid on that screen that is cracking all weird and eyes/mouth is acting all demonic? Forget it, he's averting his eyes and moving on like it never happened.

Essentially the same thing I would do if I saw something like that in real life. Because ignorance is bliss and I ain't trying to get haunted for eternity.

Every now and then though, he'll voluntarily watch an actual horror movie with me. He knows from the start and will just accept that he's going to be spending the rest of his life with a nutcase and rolls with it. Honestly, it's just one more thing on the long list of why I adore and love him.

During moments like this, I try to take advantage of the opportunity without actually trying to take advantage of his kindness. I figure if he's good enough to watch something he "hates" with me, the least I can do is find something that won't be absolutely terrifying. (I save those for when it's just me and the pups).

Usually, it's some form of slasher flick, but I learned a few weeks ago that there's one horror movie in particular that he's never seen and/or heard of and I immediately wanted to sit him down right next to me and watch him watch it.

You may be wondering what movie that is and let me tell you... The Mist.

YES. "That" Stephen King movie with the distressing ending that people are always on the fence about.

He not only has never seen it, but knows absolutely nothing about it and I have literally never in my life met anyone that knows utterly nothing about this book/movie, so to say I was floored would be an understatement. This would be my very first opportunity to see someone's legitimate reaction to this movie. In fact, I may never get this chance again.

With that being said, I think I have to figure out a way to watch this with him as soon as possible before my excitement gets the best of me and he feels the need to Google about it and spoil all the fun. I'm almost 100% sure I know what his reaction is going to be, but I still can't wait to see it.

UPDATE: So... we watched the movie. And apparently I had never seen it before in my life. I had seen the last like twenty minutes of it, but never the movie in its entirety. We were a good fifteen or so minutes in before I realized this, but by that time we were invested. And let me just say, it did not disappoint and I'm super happy we watched it for the first time together.

What else were we gonna do on a three-day weekend?

I'm aware that when it comes to three-day or holiday weekends, that many people make plans and do things in the presence of others. I'm aware of this and used to participate in it. Albeit, against my will, but nonetheless.

Now, I'm married. And while my husband is a social butterfly, I am forever the little introvert that I've always been. I figure, I married my favorite person so why should I have to spend time with other people? Unhealthy? Yes. Am I going to change it? Nope. I mean, let's be real, I would rather stay in my bitch cave with my loves and all of my stuff.

Therefore, when I got off of work on Friday (at lunch, thank you, Dani!) I did what any normal introvert would do. I cleaned my house from tits to teeth, ran the majority of errands that involved other people and then settled in my house and waited for D to get home. In the process of all of this, I also started watching American Horror Story: Apocalypse. Because, why not?

With the exception of about 1.5 hours of Sunday when we ran a final errand, D and I stayed home all weekend and just hung out with each other, cooked, watched tv, and played with our pups. While most people think that we're weird or too anti-social, I say f*ck it, we do what we want.

We even sat outside in our backyard for a long while on Sunday night to watch all of the fireworks and D grilled out, because while we're hermits, we're also Americans and the Fourth of July is like our crack rock.

Or, something like that.

The point is, it was an incredibly lowkey weekend, but it's not very often that D and I have the same days off, so we just enjoyed each other company and let it go from there. Well, I enjoyed his company, the jury is still out on if he enjoys my company or if he's plotting his alibi for our Dateline special.

NOTE: I still can't believe that I convinced him to watch AHS: Apocalypse though. The man HATES all things horror and I LOVE all things horror, so it's a toss up on which one of us wins more often than not.

Saturday morning I even got up and got dressed like we were doing something (not really, because we were just hanging around the house, but still) and D said: "are you wearing my boxers and shirt?" to which I replied: "bitch, we're married.... these are our clothes." Because you know, love and devotion.

All in all, I think this was a nice weekend and while we didn't do much, he's my very favorite person to do nothing and everything with, so I'm good with it. And hopefully he is too.... if not, well, there's always that Dateline special.

This weekend was full of.... nothing but also a couple of things?!?

Y'all, once again the weekend went by far too fast and here we are just hoping to make it through until the next one. It's perfectly acceptable to just wallow in the fact that our next days off are five days away, right?

If not, there are no f*cks given and I want to be chilling with my pups and watching Netflix. But, we'll agree to disagree (even though I'm right) and we'll continue on with what these people are calling adulthood.

Even though I don't sleep late when I'm off (insomnia, party of one), I like having the option of not putting on pants and doing the things. I can have my fan going, curled up under a blanket with my (fur)babies, taking shots of fireball and chugging wine, watching whatever in the hell I want on the tv without hearing exasperated sighs in the background.

In fact, D had to work on Saturday, so what did I do? Well, I was of course awake before his alarm even went off, so once he had left I cleaned the house, finished laundry (I've been trying to keep up on the whole keeping the house clean thing, I thought it might help some of my anxiety), poured myself some drinks (yes, I drank alcohol on Saturday morning), and commenced to watching Keeping up with the Kardashians on tv. Sometimes, you just need some trash tv in your life. Besides, it was the old episodes when Khloe/Lamar were still together, so they needed to be watched (by me). Not to mention, if you're day drinking, the Kardashians are where it's at.

Then, I poured myself some more drinks (are you sensing a trend here?) and finished binge-watching V Wars on Netflix. If y'all haven't seen that one yet, I highly suggest that you watch it.

(The electricians were supposed to come on Saturday to check out our kitchen/living room, but they called and rescheduled for tomorrow.... it's frustrating.)

Saturday was also Soso's "sweet 16" and we had been invited a couple months back. Personally, I didn't really want to get out (you know me and my wanting to be home 24/7), but she stopped by that morning and asked me in person if I would come and I was like fine. So, D and I went for a little bit (about an hour) and then we left and ran by the video store. I like going into the actual video store, because it reminds me of my childhood (aka, I'm old as shit) and he and I commenced to watching two movies that night and the rest the next day.... because Sunday are for rest. (Aside from me cleaning, running to the store to pick up pup food, and cooking dinner).

And, from the first movie we watched, we learned our new code word for when we need to extract ourselves from situations.... CAUL-I-FLOWER. So, all in all, I just want to go back to hibernating in my dark little fortress.

I can now see which dvd's (mostly) are in my collection.

I made dvd shelves! (Ok fine, D and I made dvd shelves, but I’m taking 96% credit). 🤣

I haven't had a library card since I was fourteen years old.

Dani and I tend to listen to audiobooks and podcasts at work. We like to have the background noise, and frankly, we're tired of hearing the same four songs on the radio. We've listened to a variety of things from murder mystery to the story of R. Kelly (dude, it was hard getting through that one and that guy is a serious creep! gives me the heebie geebees.).

We even gave The Shining a go for a little bit, but then realized that might not be appropriate for work (even though, most things around here aren't).

I enjoy it so much that Dani even got me a membership for Audible last Christmas (and it's still one of my favorite gifts that I have received).

Currently we are in the middle of The Perks of Being a Wallflower and I'm listening to Dani's new book, The Great Alone, and it's officially on my list of things I have to read on my own IMMEDIATELY.

With all of that being said, Dani let me know that if I got a library card, that I can download apps on my phone and read e-books or listen to audiobooks through those apps. Apparently, it works just like you would check out a library book, but all digital. I can't explain to you how convenient that makes life.

I stopped at the library yesterday on my way back to work (it's literally right around the corner from my house and on the street I take to/from work every day) and picked up a card. It was both hilarious and surreal to know that I am an official "library card carrying member".

Most people that know me, know that I love books. And if you ask anyone that's ever helped me move, they can tell you how many books that I own (they're not exactly light). But, I'm a book collector. I like to hold them in my hands and read page by page, mark the books when/where needed, and I've never been a big fan of "e-books" (even though I read the last two FSOG books via e-books.... and yes, I know those books are ridiculous).

But, I am pretty into this whole audiobook thing and I'm glad that she talked me into it. Not to mention, D and I can check out movies at the library just like I would an actual book. We swung by last night and picked up four (Wars Dogs, Looper, The Legend of Tarzan, and Mike & Dave Need Wedding Dates), and I created an account online through the library that allows me to place books/movies on hold and when they're delivered to that particular library, they send me a message that it's ready for pickup. Needless to say, I currently have four movies and endless audiobooks on hold.

All in all, I love it and I dare say, when it comes to this, victory is mine.

Fried Green Tomatoes.... and yes, that's an acceptable meal. *yummy*

Most people that know me (or at least, know me well) knows that I LOVE Fried Green Tomatoes. The food and the movie.... and probably the book. Fannie Flagg knew what was up and knew that I needed Idgie Threadgoode to guide me.

There's nothing that happens in my life to where I don't question how Idgie Threadgoode would handle it. A kind of "WWID" type of situation. Luckily for me, Idgie was just about as dramatic as I am and we relate to each other in alot of ways. (And I say "we" but mostly I just relate to her!).

I often find myself quoting the movie (Towanda!!) and the fact that Idgie made me feel like it was ok to be a "tomboy" has bleed through to my entire life. Did Idgie care what people thought about her hair or clothes? Hell no. Do I care? F*ck that. We are both comfort and practicality over fashion and expectations.

Speaking of quotes, I also call Momma my "bee charmer" and if you've never seen the movie, that won't make any sense to you.

I don't remember how old I was the first time I watched the movie, but I know I cried (no matter how many times I watch it, it always makes me cry), and laughed uncontrollably.

And with it being one of my all time favorites ever (and that's saying something, because I watch/love a bunch of movies.... the 90s were just a good time for film and if anybody tries to tell you any differently.... get rid of them), it had been FAR too long since I had gave it a go.

Having realized this, I knew that I had to make it right and found my DVD copy to pop in (and then realized that I must love this movie, because I own three copies of it.... quit judging me). And just to let you know, it's just as amazing as what I remembered.

"Why did you go with Idgie Threadgoode?" "Because she.... she's the best friend I ever had, and I love her."

It's actually pretty outside and some things could be done.

But, I want to do none of them and instead go home.... (and watch Netflix/eat junk food). While sipping on some alcohol.... in sweatpants. I watched the remake of Flatliners last night. Loved it.... Diego Luna is a national treasure.

Work has been steady busy, but Dani and I are now in our lull, because it's 2:30pm. I have to stop by the pharmacy on my home today.... AGAIN (they never have everything in when I call in our prescriptions.... I always end up having to make two trips).

And I learned that the second season of Santa Clarita Diet premieres on March 23.

A Public Service Announcement.

I'm not going to wear pants at all this weekend if I can keep from it. Kidding, I'll have to wear some when I take Tayder outside to potty.... and probably if I have to go to the store or something. Hopefully though, we'll be staying in, because according to the people on the news, a winter storm is heading our way.

And it's Friday the 13th. And there's supposed to be a full moon tonight.

So, technically if you added it up the score would be somewhere in the ballpark of: The Universe:03, All the rest of us:0. Then again, they just added Alice Through the Looking Glass and It Follows on Netflix today and I have a bottle of wine, bbq chicken, and some liquid sleeping meds to knock me on my ass. So, I ask you, who's the real winner in all of this?

My brother brought me to work this morning and Aunt Poot is going to pick me up this evening (thanks, guys), as I still can't fully drive by myself yet (you have to keep your permit for at least six months before you take the driving test), and I don't know if I'm going to be leaving the house again for the weekend once I get there.

Like I said, maybe to get Qdoba nachos (yum!).... no, I really won't go and get nachos (*le sigh), but it sounded good to me.

The weather is supposed to get pretty gnarly (yes, I still say gnarly #paulyshoregrooveforlife) tonight. I don't know if it really will (hope not), because they can't seem to predict what it's going to do these days. Between the 70 degree weather one days and 30 degree with winds at 85 mph the next, it's becoming ever so clear that Mother Nature is on her period and is wreaking havoc, because of it. Don't get me wrong, I get it, girl, "that time of the month" isn't anything to mess with.... but damn.

I've resorted to wearing two pairs of socks a day, but I never know if I'm going to have to remove them halfway through the day or not. I'm telling you, shit is getting real and I'm having to do a whole lot of laundry.

And there are a lot of reports that people have already begun to sweep the grocery stores to get their emergency milk, eggs, and bread for the impending storm.... and then the guy on the radio wanted to know what people were eating with just those three items. People had a bunch of suggestions, but all it did to me was make me crave french toast (because one woman said french toast, because people usually have the rest for it in their cabinets). Either way, let's get through this work day, get home, and prepare for an evening full of winter storms, Tayder cuddles, junkfood (#noregrets), sleepy meds, and Johnny Depp.

Stay safe and warm out there, folks!!

The randomness that is my existence.

(I have nothing of substance to share).

It's currently 16° outside right now which considering that the day before yesterday when I came to work (I usually leave the house a little bit before 6:00 am) it was 1° isn't really all that bad. I'm not sure how the weather is supposed to go from here on out, because I don't pay too much attention to the weather/ news of today. I know that I really should, but let's be honest with each other- the easiest way to get depressed these days is to watch the news.

But with all of that aside, things have been fairly..... dare I say it..... quiet. There's the usual fuss that always seems to be happening within a family (and I got to say I'm beyond happy that it's not in our house), but for the most part there's just alot of hanging out, staying in, watching tv and eating yummy food. I haven't got to partake in too much of the yumminess that is food in about a week, because the "Winter Stomach Bug" finally caught up with me (I was hopeful that it would skip over me this year- alas, it is not so), but luckily I haven't been "deathly ill" or anything, just don't seem to have a hearty appetite as of yet. Don't worry about me though, my appetite ALWAYS comes back.

A friend of mine (I guess? I think I call her a friend even though we don't know each other back and forth yet) was texting me yesterday evening and in the midst of our conversation she suggested that her and I (and probably Momma and Tayder) should have a movie night. She wasn't sure what I had seen out of Redbox though, but mentioned that she really wanted to give the new Mad Max (Fury Road) a go. I let her know that I had already seen it and actually own it. Her reply was- "Oh, well since you've already seen it then I guess....." And I had to stop her right there, because I had to say- "Dude, I only told you that so you wouldn't rent it, not because I don't want to watch it again- I meant we could just watch my copy." And she made sure that I didn't mind seeing it again and the only thing that I could think of was-

"IT HAS IMPERATOR FURIOSA AND IMMORTAN JOE AND WAR RIGS AND TOM HARDY IS AMAZING AND JOE'S BREEDING WIVES (WHICH SOUNDS DISGUSTING AND TOTALLY IS) AND NICHOLAS HOULT'S CHARACTER IS SUCH A CRAZY DUDE AND OMG WE NEED TO WATCH THIS IMMEDIATELY."

Because you know, I wouldn't be dramatic or anything like that. We haven't decided exactly which night we will share in the epicness that is Fury Road, but she's informed me that she's free this Friday and next week and while we usually run errands on Fridays, it never takes more than a couple of hours so it just may be tomorrow night. And maybe we'll have Taco Bell for dinner (wine too, but that's a given). We'll see about it though.

Also, I talked her into giving Bates Motel a try. She won't be disappointed.

All I know is that Momma, Tayder and I have been snuggling down this last week (it's cold and gross out) and I'm completely over this snow and ice (I was over it before it even began). And I know that this Winter hasn't been as hard on us as it has other places (even my loving Tennessee has received quite a bit of snow- which is kind of unheard of- this year), but that doesn't keep me from longing for chilly yet no snow, ice, rain or sleet days. I don't mind the chilly weather, it's all the crap that comes with it that I dislike.

Winter is hard.

Christmas with the Crazies.

(My family is a little bit..... well insane.)

We tend to not follow the rules and get loopy at the drop of a hat. There's about five million of us. My Grammy and Grandpa had somewhere between 11-13 kids  (I don't really know for sure) and needless to say with that many kids, we have alot of cousins. While we have that many cousins, there are only a few of us that stay in touch and are close.

-Side note: I'm watching the movie- Winters Tale and it's so amazing. Seriously, if every guy could be and act and love like Peter Lake we would all be good. This movie is just heartbreaking and loving at the same time. I need to get this book.

Anyways, back to the whole Christmas/ Family thing. As you can see from the pictures above, we have our own special set of issues. And sadly, that's not even all of us in the pictures. There are plenty more that we just don't have around too much. Of course, I see Dani and Bonehead on a regular basis, because I work with them, but they spend the holidays with their closer extended family. I'm telling you guys, there are SO MANY of us.

But we love each other, even if it's in our own weird/ special way. We bicker and fight and argue, but we have each others back. Well, the majority of us have the others backs and the rest are just assholes. Don't get me wrong, we're all assholes, but we admit it and don't make any excuses for it. It's just us. And we're mostly proud of it. If people don't like us, then we usually tell them to go on somewhere.

So, here was what my Christmas looked like this year. It was filled with laughter, food, fun, love and selfies. You can blame the selfies on me, I got a "selfie stick" for Christmas and Ashley and I are pretty sure that it's one of the coolest things ever invented. We had way too much fun with it.

Sending lots of love from me and mine.

My body is haunted.

(I'm not feeling ok at all anywhere).

How long has it been since I wrote and shared a post on a Monday?! Don't answer that.

All weekend I was a achy/tired wreck. It started Friday about one o'clock while I was still at work. I just started hurting and aching all over. You know how you feel when you have the flu? I felt like that except I wasn't sick at my stomach and I didn't have a fever. I was just super achy. It got worse after work, Momma and I ran to the store and the more we walked around, the more achy I became.

We finally got home and I took the hottest shower that I could stand. Seriously, it was one step away from singeing the skin off my bones. Then when I got out I sat back in Grammy's chair with a pillow and Tayder on the side of me. About an hour and a half later (I was so weak and achy I couldn't even turn Greg's YouTube channel when he got up), I rode with Momma to take Bubba to work and we stopped by the DQ to get some supper. (Chicken strips/fries & gravy!!). I was still real achy, but like I said, I didn't feel bad in any other way. So, Tayder and I chilled in Grammy's chair watching Supernatural for a few hours before we turned it back on regular TV.

Next thing I know, Momma was waking me up, because Tayder and I had passed out in the chair. He had gotten me real warm and snuggly and we were out. After she woke me up, I got up and went to my bed.

Saturday morning when I got up, I was still kind of achy, but not horrible, so I got ready and Momma and I went over to Aunt Poot and Uncle Darrell's so Greg and I could help Uncle Darrell cut down/trim the trees in their lot. Then Greg fixed the transmission pan in our car and Ashley wanted me to ride to the store with her. Not gonna lie, I didn't want to, because she takes forever to do everything, but I did, because Momma encouraged me to.

Like I predicted, she took forever and finally Aunt Poot called and Ash took me back over so Momma and I could go home. Her and I were solo Saturday night, because Greg went out with his girlfriend. I made us hamburger (hers plain, mine with taco seasoning) and proceeded to make and eat the best nachos EVER. And then she did her computer thing while Tayder and I did our Supernatural thing and I finally had to turn Supernatural off, because once again, I couldn't stay awake. Finally, we all went to bed.

Yesterday morning I woke up ridiculously early, because I was hurting so bad that I couldn't function. Seriously, I had to roll/gimp myself out of bed and into the bathroom to find the ibuprofen. Momma was pretty worried about me and kept asking me if I was ok, so I told her that I was fine, for her to go back to bed and I was just gonna take a shower and go back to bed myself. I did take a shower and I finally laid back down (in the fetal position) and dozed off for just a bit more. Not much later I got up, because I couldn't sleep anyways and Momma and I cleaned house and went to do laundry. Did I feel like it? Hell no. Did Momma feel like it? Most likely not. But it had to be done and no one else was going to do it for us, so we hopped on it.

We went over to Aunt Poot and Uncle Darrell's for a couple of hours after that and then we went home, because we were tired and I was once again achy. I know, you're seeing a whole pattern here. I cooked some food and Bubba and I decided to watch- Me, Myself & Irene. Somewhere around the middle Tayder and I fell asleep. When I finally woke up (at the end) I got up, went and took a shower and then Tayder and I snuggled together and watched- The Woman in Black 2: Angel of Death, before going to bed.

I woke up way earlier than what I had to this morning, because I was in pain and I took more ibuprofen, got ready and came to work. I still have no clue what's wrong. The only thing that I can think if is- My body is haunted by a poltergeist.

I made peanut butter fudge.

Well, my friends, here it is Monday morning. And by Monday morning, I mean Monday afternoon, because I'm an adult and have to do responsible things like get out of bed, brush my teeth and hair, and work. Ok, maybe I don't exactly always brush my hair. And maybe I'm really like a seven year old at heart, but you know what I mean. Being an adult is the WORST. But enough about all of that.

I personally don't have anything against Mondays or anything. To me, it's just another day. Just like any other ole day. The way I figure it, if you hate Mondays that bad, just use your vacation days for all of the Mondays. But then people would complain that they don't have any more vacation days, because you just can't please some people. You know how it goes.

#TeamSpike Even after all of these years.
What did y'all do this weekend? Me? I did a whole lot of nothing. Seriously. I wish that I had some awesome stories to share with you, but that's just not the case. It's been rainy and gross. Frankly, it's just a bit disgusting, and puts me in a blah mood. But I'm sure I'm not the only one. I don't even really remember what I did Friday, probably nothing of substance, or I would remember it. I do recall not being able to sleep, so I stayed up late drinking and watching the show- Mom. Hilarious, by the way. I love it. And Deadly Women. Because, why not? I watch those shows all the time. Oh! By the way, Janya got moved from kindergarten to first grade, I assume because she is a genius, so- YAY! Congrats to Jayna and Dani (and Chris).

Saturday Momma and I ran to the grocery store and then came home. That was it. I'm telling you, it's really bad out. Then yesterday we ran over to Aunt Poot and Uncle Darrell's for a little bit, and Joshie took me up to Speedway to fill up my awesome ginormous jug, and then we went back home again. Bro and Shelley asked me if i wanted to get out Saturday and I just didn't want to. I didn't feel like doing a dang thing. So, I didn't.

Yesterday I watched part of the #BreakingBadBinge and recorded the rest of it, and also watched a documentary on Jim Morrison, because I mean, come on, it's Jim freakin' Morrison. Who doesn't love Jim Morrison? Just watching that documentary I wanted to go get a lizard wearing a crown tattoo. And if you don't understand that reference, then don't talk to me.

Also, Saturday night I may, or may not have had popped one of my sleeping pills on top of some sinus meds and wine, and ended up making fudge at midnight, watched The Disappearance of Alice Creed, taught Shylyn how to trade/barter, plus make her draw my 'future tattoo', and finished by watching Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Maybe I did, maybe I didn't. I'll never tell you. But for the record that fudge was the bomb and I'm still 100% #TeamSpike all the way. Yes, even after all of these years. Angel can suck it, unless he's Booth. Then he's awesome. Ok, that's all I got. I'm sorry that this was absolutely nothing of substance. Lastly, if you want to know what in the hell is going on in all of those random photos of me, you can go check out my Instagram page and it will tell you all about it.

Two Kinds Of Evil.

I'm speaking of course of the fact that I went to the Doctor on Monday, and the two "Evil Dead" movies. I know it's a little weird and they don't exactly go together, but bear with me. Ok? Thanks. As was said on Monday, I went to the "lady doctor" to have some tests run. Let me just say that I am totally against being a woman, and I can now understand Chaz Bono's outlook on wanting to be a dude! Being a woman has it's perks, however somewhere down the line it was agreed upon (by unknown sources-probably a drunk guy) that women would have to endure a mountain of uncomfortable/painful/embarrassing moments in their lives. Thanks for that. Tools. My Doctor is a very nice woman, and she makes me as comfortable as possible, but really how comfortable can you be when in that position? (pun intended).

At some point when she was using her "microscope" for the Colposcopy, I'm pretty sure that she turned into the Devil. Just saying. She was still incredibly nice, and trying to make sure I was ok, but unbeknownst to either of us at some point either she or her "tools" were possessed. Why? Because it hurt. Not a constant/scream your head off/curse everybody around you kind of hurt, but still a little painful. Yes, I'm being a tad overly dramatic, but that's my right at this moment. Deal with it and move on. She did the colposcopy/biopsy with the colposcope (that's the microscope part-it's the forceps and other tools that are bad-that's what they say-I say their the tools from hell-potato, potatoe) and we discussed the different things that are going on with me. I've had a biopsy done before, but it's never pleasant no matter how many times you have it done. (I lost like 12 pounds in a month-so Yay!).

My Doctor said that it's a good thing that Women do this stuff instead of Men, because if it was Men then a bad event would be horrible, and a horrible event would be catastrophic. She may have a point. It would be nice if no one had to do it though. All in all though, the tests are over and done with and I go back in two weeks (July 29) for a follow-up. She put me on Metformin, and I take two of those a night. Plus I have to continue to take all the vitamins and stuff that she already has me on. I'm 23 years old and officially feel like a little old lady. Not anywhere but my purse either (where I keep my medicine and apparently the rest of my old lady stuff). Nice.

I'll keep everything about the Doctor updated on here, that way even I can remember it. Aside from that I watched the remake of The Evil Dead last night. Everyone that knows me knows that the Original Film is one of my all time favorite movies. I can't help it. Bruce Campbell is a hero of mine. So of course when I heard that the remake was coming out I was all "Yep, I'm going to have to watch that". Well, I watched it. The original is still my favorite, but I have to say the remake is good. All I can say about the remake is **@@@%$#@#%^&^%&""!!!!
